Paint It Forward: Pies for a Purpose Is Back — And This Time, It Means Even More

At The Giving Pies, giving back has never been an afterthought. It is part of our name, part of our story, and part of why we do what we do.

But like many small businesses, we have felt the impact of the current economy. With rising costs, cautious spending, and slower customer traffic, our sales have taken a significant hit — about 20%. And when sales slow down, it affects more than our day-to-day operations. It also affects our ability to give back in the way we always have.

Still, giving back is not something we want to pause.

That is why we are bringing back our painting event with a renewed purpose and a new name:

Paint It Forward: Pies for a Purpose

This fun, creative event is about more than painting and pie. It is about community. It is about connection. And it is about continuing to support a cause that is close to our hearts.

This year, all profits from Paint It Forward: Pies for a Purpose will go toward our annual giving to E-Sports, a program that supports kids with special needs through inclusive activities and community engagement.

Why We Are Doing This

The Giving Pies has always believed that small acts of kindness can create a big impact. Whether through school fundraisers, community partnerships, inclusive hiring, or local giving, we have built our business around the idea that pie can bring people together for something bigger.

This season has been challenging. Like many restaurants, bakeries, and small businesses, we are navigating slower sales and tighter margins. But instead of stepping away from our commitment to give, we asked ourselves:

How can we keep giving, even when business is hard?

Paint It Forward is our answer.

What to Expect

Join us for a creative and meaningful gathering where guests will enjoy:

• Time to connect, create, and support a great cause

No painting experience is needed. Just bring yourself, your creativity, and your heart for giving back.

Each session will feature a pie theme. For our first session, we are celebrating The Giving Pies Best Sellers, with flavors like Lemon, Key Lime, Apple, Chocolate Salted Caramel, and Banana Cream.

Our Giving Deadline

Our next deadline for our annual giving to E-Sports is August 23. Between now and then, every Paint It Forward session will help us move closer to that goal.
